#01 - DeWalt DCE100 Short Nozzle (Free STL📂)

I use a DeWalt DCE100 blower for all kinds of DIY work, from blowing away dust and debris to pushing water off the car after a wash. It’s a handy little tool, but even the shortest setup with the original nozzle is still quite long. When using it around the car, the end of the nozzle can sometimes bump into the paint and leave scratches. So I decided to design a much shorter nozzle.

I designed the tip with a flat shape, similar to a hair dryer nozzle. Instead of concentrating the airflow into one small spot, it spreads the air out and directs it along the surface.

The model consists of two parts. I separated the main body from the nozzle tip so the tip can rotate freely even when the nozzle is attached to the blower.

I reverse-engineered the mounting section of the original nozzle and recreated the locking mechanism. It clicks into place just like the original and stays securely attached while in use.

3D Printing Tips

  • Since this blower doesn’t generate heat, PLA works perfectly fine for this print.
  • When printing the 002 file, set supports to Build Plate Only.
  • Two M3 bolts, 10–20 mm in length, are required for assembly.
